TCU Core Curriculum

The TCU Core Curriculum emphasizes breadth of knowledge, analysis, inquiry and skills to be a rigorous thinker, empathetic citizen and adaptable leader. – Dr. Theresa Gaul, Director

TCU students devote one-third of their academic study to the Core Curriculum. Courses prepare Horned Frogs to succeed in their majors and upper-division courses, explore interests and passions, navigate a changing world, contribute to their communities, and find fulfillment as lifelong learners.

Based on the traditions of a liberal arts education, the TCU Core Curriculum is organized around four essential student learning outcomes:

Analyze Human Experience, Cultural Expression, Creativity

Develop Math and Science Literacy

Understand Social Responsibility in Diverse, Global Communities

Communicate Effectively

TCU Core Curriculum is guided by principles of equity and inclusion. Students practice skills in cultural diversity and intercultural sensitivity, civic responsibility, and global problem-solving.
